P3 use with non Elecraft radio

 I am using my P3 with a non Elecraft radio with a 10.7MHz IF and P3 set up as per 'User defined...'
My question is about the behavior of the P3 and the command #CTF x,,,,x;

If I set the centre frequency to 0 with #CTF 00000000000; then I see the 10.7MHz IF output of the radio
and the label top centre says '0'

If I set the centre frequency to 10.7 with #CTF 00010700000; then I also see the 10.7MHz IF output of the radio and the label top centre says '10.700.00'

But what I would like to do is to set the label at the top centre of the P3 to the dial frequency of the radio , say 7,100,00 but if I do this with a #CTF 00007100000; then the trace vanishes but the label reads 7.100.00

Any suggestions and thanks for reading this
