Wayne and Eric, The P3?will be a very welcome accessory?for the K3. However, it appears that it will require using the RS232 output from the K3 to get its data. How will one be able to obtain the data necessary for our logging/contest software that presently uses the RS232 port? 73, Art KZ5D ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

He said that the P3 will have two RS232 connectors -- one for the radio and one for the computer. The rig control and information commands to the logging program will pass through untouched; the P3 will have its own special command set which it will use to talk to the K3. He said the goal is to enable it to work transparently with all loggers, rig control software, etc. -- 73, Vic, K2VCO Fresno CA http://www.qsl.net/k2vco ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
