Hello,
Look for the Polar Bear group on the air from 20:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC on
Saturday, March 11th.
We will be operating on or around the standard QRP frequencies. If the
bands are crowded due to the Elecraft QSO Party, check below the QRP freq.
or in the Novice section of the CW bands. Some of the Polar Bears will be
using their Elecraft radios and handing out QSO's for the QP.
Some PB's will be on CW and other will be on SSB. To see the list of Polar
Bears please check out www.n3epa.org for more details. Check out the March
link for the list of PB's that are operating outdoors with their rigs. There
is a group of Polar Bears camping out over night on Round Head on the
Appalachian Trail off of Route 501 in PA.
This will be our last outing until October or our hibernation gathering
sometime in the summer.
This will be my 72 consecutive month of operating Outdoors from the
Appalachian Trail since March of 2000. I am one of the Speakers at the
Atlanticon 2006 Forum this year. I hope to work you from the trail and see
you at Atlanticon at the end of the month.
72 and Thanks,
Ron Polityka
