Let me add: Seems when I have the Sub Receiver set on 6 Mtrs and the main
band on 75, the PR6 isn't getting the signal through the RXant. Or do I not need the RX ant on to use the PR6, or is the PR6 out of circuit when in this configuration? Bill,
It depends on how you have things configured. It is possible that the 80 meter LPF is in the path from the sub to the antenna. That would be true if you have the sub set to share main's antenna. If you have the KAT3 installed and have the sub set to use the non-active main antenna, then the LC combination in the tuner can suppress the signal. See page 37 of the manual. Furthermore - if you have the PR6 connected between RX ANT out and RX ANT in, the PR6 can only be connected to the main RX, not the subRX. See page 39 of the manual as well as the antenna routing diagrams on pages 41 and 42. The only way I know of to use the PR6 on the sub without complication is to connect the SubRX separate BNC antenna connector inside the K3, set the sub to RX ANT and put the PR6 between the sub's BNC RX ANT connector and your antenna. I have neither the subRX nor the PR6 here, so I cannot be entirely certain, but what I have said is my impression from looking at the antenna connection diagrams. 73, Don W3FPR Bill K9YEQ wrote: > Let me add: Seems when I have the Sub Receiver set on 6 Mtrs and the main > band on 75, > the PR6 isn't getting the signal through the RXant.
