PSK 31

I am trying to run PSK 31.  I cannot figure out how from the K3 owners manual, particularly page 31.  I have a P3, and am trying to use DX4WIN logging program on my HP Notebook computer.  I have my Notebook plugged into the RS 232 Port on the K3.  I have the Notebook plugged into the PC RS 232 port on the P3.   I have Upper Side Band selected on the K3.  The Spectrum and Waterfall display on my DX4WIN, is not nearly as good as what the P3 shows.  When I try to transmit through the logging program, the program does not key the K3 transmitter.  Can anyone please tell me how to set up my Notebook, K3, and P3 to run PSK 31?
