PX3 Span Function (WU6R - Mark)

Elecraft mailing list
Page 13 of the PX3 manual says the available span range is 2 kHz to 200 kHz, but I am not able to set my span beyond 100 kHz.

As an example, the top left of the PX3 display reads "3.700.000",
The middle (VFO A) frequency reads "3.747.000", and
The top right reads "3.800.000"

Per the manual, I should be able to get a 200 kHz separation between the top left and right frequencies, but I am unable to do so by changing the span settings.

Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

Mark

Page 25 of the PX3 manual says:

The frequency span shown on the display in fixedtune mode is limited to ±
50 kHz (100 kHz total). If you enter fixed-tune mode with a wider span set,
the span will be reduced automatically to ± 50 kHz.

:-)

Fixed tune mode was a welcome addition a couple of years ago to the PX3.
