Paddle Keyer and PTT

Bob KD7YZ
Howdy K3' people:

So as not to accidently blow out a Pre-Amp at the Mast, I want my
Vibroplex Key to "Not" key the rig.  Rather, I'd like to use a Heil
Foot-Switch that I have.

What's the setting to make the Keyer not key up the rig?

Where's the connector where I plug in the foot-switch ?

Thanks

Re: Paddle Keyer and PTT

Cady, Fred
Hello Bob,
Plug your foot switch into the PPT IN jack on the back panel of the K3.
Hold the VOX end of the Band down button until the VOX icon goes out.

Re: Paddle Keyer and PTT

Greg - AB7R
Bob.....BTW, I meant to say the PTT IN jack, not KEY IN.  Probably
obvious but wanted to clarify just in case.
