I wrote: "*...a tiny surface-mount component, which is itself mounted on

On my SSB board, the "small circuit board" had to be wired in place with
short pigtail leads cut from resistors...these pigtail leads themselves
had to be soldered onto very small pads...perhaps the situation has
changed from that of 2 years (+) ago, but in my case, that was the only
complicating feature of the SSB board (as I think I stated quite clearly
in my post).

Have a fine, healthy, and interesting New Year and many more to
follow...and many thanks for the help rendered me in the past.

That may have been true 2 years ago, but it is now pre-mounted on the board.
