Poles

Benny Aumala
I looked something higher than 30ft. Fishing poles are available,
but not strong enough. My experience was: only filled with two-component
PU foam (fixed to full length) they are suitable for fixed antennas eg.
GP or quad spider.
Then I found SPIETH mast. I think they are sold also in US. This is some
33 ft.
And strong enough for LW except last tip. Special enforced, non-carbon.
Look for

My last and best is Spiderbeam product of still stronger material, 40 ft
high.
Very handy telescope. Spider must sell beams also in US, I think.
Look for
www.spiderbeam.net

help calibrating KAT1

Andrew Moore-4
I'm trying to calibrate the KAT1 using an RF probe.
Parameter Atu is set to CLP, and Out is set to 5.0 watts.
Docs say that when I enter TUNE mode and watch the DMM's
voltage with the probe on RF hot and ground, I should
adjust WPM+/WPM- until I see 14 volts on the DMM.

I see 3.67 V and it doesn't change when I press WPM+/WPM-.
The K1 display doesn't change either - in fact it stays at 0.1 watts (not
5).  When I exit TUNE mode, the Out parameter has reverted back to 0.1
watts.

Any ideas?
