Re: Power Supply

hmm

I've pondered  that  question for a while...

what I would  like is a   linear supply,  large heat sinks   and   super quiet fans  are 'ok' with me...

supply should be  75amps and have the ability  to  combine  with another...

it would be  great if it had  something like  a  super powergate built in, along with a  temp sensor  for the battery
and ability to charge/float up to  200amps  of  gell/or etc batteries....and ability to have  direct feeds  for  4 batteries.

Transformer  buzzing noise   is also  annoying,    so  perhaps  a Toroidal or   laminated  traditional  transformer might be  nice.

might seem  a bit large/exotic    but  running   a 100w rig and some accessories   during a   real  emcom event    is tough on batteries,  also when the power  returns  you  need a lot of amps to  charge   the batteries  fast  enough  to meet  spec and maybe run  a rig  or two simultaneously

just my  crazy  wish  list.
