When the power supply is over 11 V, current drain is typically 1 A at
5 W in CW, FM, and FSK-D modes and 1.5 A in other modes. Below 11 V,
all modes are about the same. (The reason current drain goes down
above 11 V in these modes is that we switch in a higher-impedance
winding on the PA output transformer.)
At 10 W it's typically 1.8-2 A in all modes.
If the SWR seen by the transmitter is high, current drain might be
higher depending on the load impedance. Backlight on/off, preamp on/
off, and isolation amp on/off also affect current drain a bit.
