FWIW [and for a K2/100]: I switched my RTTY station to my K2/100 late
last year to take advantage of the RTTY filters [can't even begin to
describe the changes that made for me in RTTY contests :-)] Even at
50W, the heat sink got very hot, particularly if I was running stations.
I finally took a 12VDC muffin fan I had from an old confuser, put a
small piece of sticky back velcro on the center, and stuck it down to
the heat sink. It blows quite a bit of air down onto the HS, and now, I
can run the K2/100 at about 80W driving the amp to about 800W and the
heat sink doesn't even warm up.
As I said, FWIW.
