Premature Emails on the Amp $$$

Gosh fellows....

Lets stop talking about the price. It seems that we
are jumping to a lot of conclusions here. Remember,
the guys at Aptos are reading on this and we need to
give them the benefit of the doubt.

There are 26 days to Dayton....

yes you are right we should wait for Eric and Wayne to talk first
but it is hard to wait

Normally Elecraft announces a product and then is open for comments and
questions. This time the product has been announced and shown but we only
get information from the folks who saw it at the hamfest. I wonder why
they decided upon this route instead of the normal, full disclosure?

What we have here is a case of over excited, premature amplification! HI HI

Sorry - just had to do that...

I tip my hat to the Elecraft folks. They have delivered nothing but stellar
products, well engineered and fairly priced.

I am anxious to see this amp. And will be at Dayton. I have a Ten Tec
Hercules II now but would be glad to upgrade to something with a lot more
features and capability.

Let's give them a chance to finalize their product, specs, pricing, etc.
But the price will most likely be up there pretty well from what I'm hearing
in capability.

I'm curious to see what they will have for a power supply.

Yes, I'm sure they are reading it, and I'm sure they are finding the
different responses very useful information. They are big boys, I'm
sure they can take the input that people have given so far without
getting their feelings hurt.

Being on e of the lucky folks that saw this jewel, I can say while it has
indeed been shown (albeit to a select audience) it has not been announced. I
haven't seen one email yet from our Buds in Aptos.

When I saw it, Eric was looking for comment, input, and reaction. The unit was
still being tested and evaluated, and his taget date was Dayton.

Sounds like he's on track for that.

Cut some slack guys. It will be worth the wait. I know...I know...it's tough.

Hmm the way I see it is I don't need a amp. If I can't make a contact with 5
watts then I don't need to be on the air. hi hi
