Hi -
Another day another challenge. I have recently installed the 160m module and the 20 W ATU in my K2. Now I discover the Noise Blanker gives very strong pulse when I click Display and go into the DSP settings ... like on 14 Mhz is it most strong when I display "S1 nr nt". Pulses are at approximately 1 second interval and maybe one-fifth second in duration ... NB is supposed to remove the pulses not add them !!! On std. rcv. there is no pulse noise. Before I installed the 160m module and AT it all worked fine. I know its the NB because if I remove the module the problem disappears ... Anyone got any ideas .. thanks Robin OZ6ABM _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. When the K2 is operating normally, there will be no pulses. These are only audible when making changes such as the DSP settings. The reason is the data lines are active when changing the settings and cause interference. It's not a fault... 73 Dave, G4AON K2 #1892 --------------------------------- Another day another challenge. The problem is that's it's not a one-off pulse - I mean it goes on and on and on ... Is that expected? 73 Robin OZ6abm _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. Robin,
The pulses will go on-and-on until you exit from the KDSP2 menu. If it continues after exiting the menu, then you do have a problem. 73, Don W3FPR > -----Original Message----- > From: [hidden email] > [mailto:[hidden email]]On Behalf Of Robin > Kiszka-Kanowitz > Sent: Sunday, June 04, 2006 3:54 PM > To: [hidden email]; [hidden email] > Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Problem ...
