Problem turning KX3 on

Klaus-Dieter Graef
Hi

sometimes, not often, I had a problem to turn on my KX3.

Pushing - as usual - BAND & ATU/TUNE - the 3 LEDs flash on (TX, f and B) -
but if I release the BAND & ATU/TUNE buttons, the TRX remains so. No start.
I can now push any button, no reaction...
Turning extern power off and on again, starting the TRX a new, all ok.
With the intern batteries I have than a problem: I have to open the KX3 and
have to take one battery out to turn off the TRX, but it back and start the
KX3 a new. Than it works.
Any tips for me? Why this behavior??

Hi Klaus,

Did you check all cells separately to see if all of them are well charged?
It looks as if during startup the supply voltage drops to a level that
locks up the KX3. You could try to measure the battery voltage when
turning the KX3 on.
