No, after seeing a number of complaints about the knobs from 3 months ago I
figured that's just the way it is. No. This is not "just the way it is". The concentric knobs on mine nest
nicely together and operate quite smoothly. Mine and thousands of others. Contact Elecraft, explain your situation, and they will make it right. My knobs also work perfectly well with no issue at all.

And --- most all the K3 knobs fit and work nicely. There can be
occasions where some bad ones are found, and in that case, Elecraft needs to know about it so they can take whatever corrective action is necessary.. The non-concentric knobs will be replaced if the right contacts are made - and that would be Elecraft support or Parts. 73, Don W3FPR On 12/27/2011 5:21 PM, Keith Heimbold wrote: > My knobs also work perfectly well with no issue at all. > > Keith > AG6AZ > > Sent from my iPhone please excuse typos > > On Dec 27, 2011, at 1:31 PM, "Bruce Beford"<[hidden email]> wrote: > >> No. This is not "just the way it is". Ok, Thank you all. I will follow up with them and get my problem corrected.
Unlike the other gentleman, though, I have had nothing but very good help from Elecraft's support team. As per everyone's advice I sent an e-mail to my favorite Elecraft Goddess,
Vicki, and I received a reply back within a couple of hours that stated she would get the knobs right in the mail to me ASAP. I think I am in love! hi hi Yes, with Vicki too. To this other gentleman that seems to be having all the trouble, are you really having all this trouble or are you exaggerating? Did you call up all mad and raise hell or did you treat them with the respect they deserve? I have had nothing but good experiences in dealing with Elecraft. I dare anyone to find any other company that is so responsive to their customers. I have yet to run across one! So do you all think I may have won a free KX3 with that? hi hi hi Yea, me neither. Used up my next 10 years worth of Christmas/Birthday/Fathers presents on my K3. Oh but I love it. Well worth it.
