LAITF and TAC overlapping QRP tests this afternoon. I'll be on the KX1 SN383 and doublet hung in the nearest Ponderosa pine tree at ~9,000' in CO mtns Join the fun! LAITF info: http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7v384/nj2om/id12.html TAC info: http://www.n3epa.org/Pages/TAC-Contest.htm My trail buddies Peanut and Rooster (young pack goats) will keep me company and may bear part of my burden. Probably ask them to carry the extra water as there's none on top of mtn whereI'm headed and the forecast is for hot (90s) and dry so thunderstorms are unlikely but in CO your never know! Definitely take a picture of your two trail buddies, I've never heard of
"pack goats", as a young sapling I use to have a couple of young goats as pets among a whole herd of other critters, (we had 300 acres out in the edge of a small town) they were a lot of fun, very playful, but they had a mind of their own and would follow you only if it suited them. I use to put a small backpack on my dog, a Boxer and he would carry stuff for me as we scampered all over the countryside, but not the water, it would get quite warm. Memories......
