QRP in the novice subbands

Ahhh, I do recall the Novice bands with fondness. I
was WN2EOO in 1972. It was fun with lots of activity
on the subbands, even good DX to be found. Contesting
was enjoyable as well, particularly Sweepstakes.
It was amazing what you could do with 50 Watts and a
chunk of wire.
I think there was a lot more "hands on" operators at
that point.
Guess that is what attracted me to Elecraft, well that
and performance! :o)
