The K3 FAQ gives the following info on the band data:
"The default K3 band data outputs match the Unified Microsystems plan. 160-10 m are mapped sequentially starting at 0001. 60 m is not mapped and will show up as 0000 and 6 m is above 10 m. The outputs are open-drain and thus may require pull-ups to an external supply in some applications." Is this the same as the band data output of my FT1000MP ? Currently I am using the 1000MP band data to interface with my SPE Expert 1K-FA linear. So I am just wondering whether I could use the K3 band data output instead. - Enno, PF5X -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web LIVE – Free email based on Microsoft® Exchange technology - http://link.mail2web.com/LIVE _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Yes. The Elecraft K3 Band Data matches that of the FT-1000MP and FTV-1000. Neither the K3 or FT-1000MP/FTV-1000 provide any Band Data output for 60 Meters. The BCD band codes are 1 - A for 160 - 6 Meters. Note: this is different than the Elecraft KRC2 which uses 1-9 for 160 - 10 meters and assigns 60 meters to A. 73, ...
