RE: K3 Noise Blanker ahead or behind roofing filter? Plus my own answer to Field Day.

Kenneth Christiansen
I would like to thank Geoff  GM4ESD, Wayne N6KR and Brett N2DTS for
answering my noise blanker questions. I have decided to order a K3 and
hope the noise blanker is good enough to fix my problem. I have other
noises too that are not as bad as the TV so if I am lucky some of them
may also be helped. I will be keeping my K2 for portable camping which I
enjoy and the IC-746PRO for 2 and 6 meters. The power supply for the PRO
should work well for the K3 if I install some power pole connectors. I
am looking forward to working FD 1B QRP Battery as I have done for the
last 6 years. That is my answer to the problem of CW operators not being
popular with the local club. I usually go to a camp ground but this year
I am thinking of setting up on my driveway by the street. Nothing would
be used from my normal station and I think it would be fun to see how
well it would work. Next year I still plan to use the K2 for camping and
FD even if I have the K3.
