Hi Don (both Don's w3fpr and n4hh)
Thanks for the reply, I have checked it again and it seems to be intermitted (sometimes only one stopbit works, on other occasions also 2 is working...). Strange behaviour, I will first check with some other HW/PC as I understand you are getting well performance with both settings. If I find something out I will come back to this reflector. gl, Carel, pc5m ________________________________ From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Don Nesbitt Sent: Saturday, July 16, 2005 3:08 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [N1MM] Elecraft K2 and N1MM logger serial com. (stopbit) Carel - my K2 (#2028) with KPA100 works equally well with either 1 or 2 stopbits selected. Using either an old IBM 380 ED laptop or a new Compaq 2.4 ghz laptop with N1MM (v 5.0.128). I have not tried to see if it might be dependent on a particular KIO2 board. I do have KIO2's in both my qrp tops but they are not easily available for testing. 73 es gud dxing -- Don N4HH --- "Carel, pc5m" <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi, > > Fired up my K2 Elecraft (#4927) with N1MM Logger > program and found out that > it will only work with "1" stopbit (remaining > parameters are confirmed). > This is in contrast to both the n1mm manual (use > default Kenwood parameters > of 2 stopbits) and the K2 KPA100 manual saying that > 2 stop bits should also > work. > > Also verified this behaviour with "Hyperterminal" > only 4800 baud, 8 > databits, no parity, no hardware control and ONE > stopbit is functioning. > > Don't know if more people have been seeing this, if > yes maybe the manual(s) > can make a note of it, if no it is just my PC > hardware and this email can be > discarded ! > > 73'3 > > Carel, pc5m > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > ____________________________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs To unsubscribe, send an email to: [hidden email] ________________________________ YAHOO!
