Tom,
In your situation I would seriously think about a remote automatic
tuner such as the LDG unit or something similiar. You could even power
it with a small inexpensive 5 W. solar panel and gel cell...then all you
would need to run is the coax. With a couple of chokes/caps you might
even be able to use the coax to supply power to the tuner, they don't
take much current at all, especially if it has locking relays and
"sleeps" between tuning episodes. I've even seen a tuner mounted in a
tree and put in a "birdhouse" to fool the neighbors...just think how
pleased the "enviromnentalists" would be if they see you're keeping the
little baby birds warm/cool with electricity...
