Hello,
Thanks to those who replied on and off the list with info on Z90 and LP units.
The prices are a bit out of my range, I think I will wait on it
and see what Elecraft comes up with.

Chris the LP-PAN is only $175 in kit form.  Besides that you need a <$100 sound card assuming you have a reasonable computer (mine is an old 1.1G P3).  PowerSDR-IF (by WU2X), Winrad (by I2PHD) and Rocky (by VE3NEA) are all free...as are HRD and OmniRig which are used for control of the K3.
