Hello to all: Just looking for some advise or help on setting up Ham Radio Deluxe with the K2/100. I've plugged in the RS-232 cable and set up the K2 defaults in HRD. I also set up the COM port to 8, none, 2 with no Hardware. The only "fly in the ointment" is that I am using a Prolific Serial to USB converter cable. I know the Prolific works because I have used it with other rigs. I have set the port to "on" and the sidetone to U8-4. I am using the K2 in the low power mode with +13.5 to the mini jack on the K2 and no power supply connected to the K100. My K2 will not connect with HRD or visa versa. It seems to communicate somewhat, but always fails on "read frequency". I want to run PSK-31 and my PC has NO serial port (seems like none of the newer one's do). Any ideas?? A standard RS232 cable won't work. The cable must be wired as shown in the
K2 manual.
