RS232 Check

kd1na
Roger,
A cheap and dirty way to check your RS232 and the serial cable is to jumper pins 2 and 3 of the K3 end of the serial cable (after it was removed from the K3). Open up hyper terminal in Windows (start, programs, accessories, communication). Select the proper com port and make sure you are connected, then type on your keyboard.  If you see what you type the com port is working.
