RTTY with K3

Is the serial + data cables sufficient to operate contest-quality RTTY with K3?

If you intend to run FSK you need to make an interface (see the AA5AU website) to
connect a com port to pins 1 and 5 on the K3 ACCY connector.  If you are going to
run AFSK you can use the K3's serial RS232 port and set either the RTS or DTR lines
for PTT and connect the K3 Line in/out to your computer soundcard.  Make the
necessary soundcard selection from whichever software package you are using.
