Hello Phil,
If the price isn't issue I would go for THP (Tokyo Hy Power) or BEKO. I have THP HL-160V25A, no problem driving it to full power with K3/XV144 combo. Getting clear signal without problem. The same with HLV-1500 from BEKO. Just see the EHAM.NET reviews, for those company, the reviews are actually true, hi. 73' Samir, 7s7v Message: 2 Date: Sun, 20 Jan 2013 09:53:34 -0800 From: Phil Hystad < <mailto:[hidden email]> [hidden email]> To: " <mailto:[hidden email]%20List> [hidden email] List" < <mailto:[hidden email]> [hidden email]> Subject: [Elecraft] 2-meter solid-state linear amplifiers with K3 2-meter option Message-ID: < <mailto:[hidden email]> [hidden email]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Does anyone have the K3 2-meter option and use a solid-state linear amplifier? If so, which one. Also, maybe some information on the best to worst in available 2-meter amplifiers as I have never looked into these before. And, a friend suggested building my own 2-meter solid-state amplifier. Has anyone done this and maybe I can hear a little about that too. Thanks for any comments. 73, phil, K7PEH ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Samir,
From what I can see on the THP web site and also HRO who distributes THP equipment, the 2-meter S/S amp is no longer available. Sure you can probably find it on the used market and I am keeping my eyes open. phil On Jan 21, 2013, at 1:05 PM, Samir Popaja <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hello Phil, > > If the price isn’t issue I would go for THP (Tokyo Hy Power) or BEKO. > > I have THP HL-160V25A, no problem driving it to full power with K3/XV144 combo. Yes, I do
I use my k3 2mtr option to drive a home built amp using the I0JXX 500w 2m module with PIC control/monitoring and an LCD display, see http://g4fre.com/500w144pa.htm Just about to upgrade to an F1JRD 1kW module using the MRFE6VP61K25H device that was in DUBUS Dave Ww2r From: Phil Hystad <[hidden email]> To: "[hidden email] List" <[hidden email]> Subject: [Elecraft] 2-meter solid-state linear amplifiers with K3 2-meter option Message-ID: <[hidden email]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Does anyone have the K3 2-meter option and use a solid-state linear amplifier?
