Well, I was in the SS for about 16 hours this weekend and made 443 QSOs in 77
sections. Did both hunt-and-peck and called CQ. And in all that I didn't
experience *any* of the above 10 behaviors. I'm not saying nobody ever does those
things but
I didn't hear any of that this weekend.
In fact, I found the opposite to be the case. Folks would put a lot of effort
into digging out my signal, even though EPA isn't a rare section.
Tuner-uppers were few and fast, and never on top of somebody. Stations seemed to space
themselves just far enough apart that they didn't QRM each other if you had a
decent filter.
Perhaps the *worst* thing I heard all weekend was that a few stations had
trouble zero beating.
