Thanks for the note, Joe.

You got me on the oversight of the firmware release note, that's sort of ancient history.  However, it is also in the latest manual rev.  Unfortunately, my desktop icon pointed to Rev D6, not the latest D9, so when I checked the manual, I found nothing.

Nevertheless, I am now kicking myself, not for the oversight, (well a little) but for not having made a little video of this to show that even after resetting the PB CTRL Shift=.05, Lo/Hi still failed to work in Data A although it did, as it should, in CW.

Unfortunately, (from a vindication standpoint anyway) after an overnight power down, this morning it is behaving normally.

re: Your comment about the default filter, the "normalized" filter is 400 Hz but the "default" filter is whatever was selected the last time you were on that mode.

I use M1-M4 for CW, SSB, Data A and AFSK A, respectively.  Regardless of the filter setup when a memory was stored, when any data mode is recalled, you get the last filter configuration used in a digital mode.  The manual is not very useful here, declaring that "filter presets" are stored, which is kind of ambiguous.

So, the operational problem is solved, my bewilderment is not.
