Several weeks ago I sent my K3, #1665, back to Elecraft for production
updates since Oct '08. My K3 was factory assembled and has most options. Elecraft Service, Rene K6XA, did an excellent job. The radio now equals or exceeds current production specifications and is essentially new again. It was obviously handled with care and returned in the same cosmetic condition as sent. I could not agree more. Rene did the work on my K3 as well.. I purchased
mine used and thought it had a few issues. Instead of trying to resolve them myself, I sent it to Elecraft for a "check up" and installation of an option I wanted but was not included on my k3 (sn 2090). Rene called me at least three times during the process to ask questions and keep me informed about it's progress. Never had I experienced this kind of service before from a radio manufacture.
