This is an understatement - as an example of what can happen, the Softrock v6 SDR receiver kit cost me a total of £8.20 ($15) a few months ago direct from Tony Parks KB9YIG and it arrived within a week. Waters and Stanton in the UK were selling them for a delivered price of £32!
At least Elecraft have now assured us that won't happen...
