It looks like a very nice option to a K2. I sent them an email to verified how much in Canada with the shipping....
I'm really sad, because I'm really minded on KPA800.... mainly the spec and feature give me an high interest in a futur project with 2 K2 on the same amp....
I really don't get it why Elecraft cannot tell us more about an ETA... :-((((
Think about people who saw the prototype last year at Dayton.... I hope if I go to Dayton this year, it will not be a prototype again.... I'm bringing my wallet... :-))

I suggest you take a look at the Expert 1K-FA from SPE: http://
www.linear-amplifier.com. I was waiting for the Elecraft amp then got
impatient and bought one of these.
This is a fully automatic amplifier that will work with any rig - it
will drive to about 2/3 full power with my K2 in low power mode, but
I seem to remember that there may be FCC issues with that kind of gain?
It does use relays for QSK but they are not very loud.
It's a very portable amp too - and even comes with its own carry bag.
