Tom,
For now, the only way to run PSK-D is with the paddles connected to the paddle input on the K3, or using a terminal, such as the one on the K3 Utility program. If you are using soundcard software for PSK you need to HOLD DATA MD (AFX button) and select DATA-A using the VFO B knob. Do that and set up your output per the K3 Operating Tips page and you should be good to go. When in Data mode the CMP is automatically clamped down a zero. ------------------------- 73, Greg - AB7R Whidbey Island WA NA-065 On Tue Jul 29 4:35 , Tom Wylie sent: >I am trying (and failing miserably) to set up my K3 to work PSK31 mode. > >I am using a Microham USB Microkeyer II and my normal Logger 32 software >which I have used for aged with my MP running very fb. > >The outgoing tones from my K3 dont "sound right" and a near neighbour >says my signal is very bad >unreadable and very broad. > >In the K3, I have the compression set to 0 the mike gain set to 0.
