Re: K-2: AGC Threshhold too low?

Sarah K.
Hi Bill,

I haven't encountered any serious problems yet, other than the
undervoltage on the AGC threshold test.

I did have quite a bit of difficulty installing the tilt bail, but I
think I just wasn't quite strong enough to push "firmly" to get it to
go where it was supposed to be. It seems fine now, although when the
bottom panel isn't installed, the tension from the tilt bail causes
the panel to bend slightly. I hope that's ok!

I have been a little bit surprised at the level of soldering skill
required; this definitely isn't a beginner's kit! However, I've also
been pleasantly surprised that I've been handling it without any
problems; I guess soldering is a bit like riding a bike! I've done a
couple of little projects recently, but prior to that, my last big
soldering job was 20 years ago. A little patience goes a long way, too.

Re: the wrist strap or mat, the other members of the list can give
you better advice, but I'm pretty sure it needs to be attached to
something you know is well grounded!

I've just gotten to the part where I have to learn how to wind
toroids... so I'm off to wind toroids now!

Good luck with your build!
