Hi Gil,
The HM-12 is the microphone that I have used with my K2. When I built the KSB2
I also installed the Rework Eliminator Internal Mic Adaptor. This little gizmo
lets you configure dozens of different microphones, including bias resistor
values, by simply plugging jumpers between little pin connectors. So microphone
plugs do not need to be rewired and it's relatively easy to change to a
different mic.
Does the HM-12 work with the KSB2? Yes. Does it work well? I don't know. I'm
a CW guy and have only made one SSB contact with my K2 just to see if the KSB2
was working. I did get a good report for that one contact. (I mainly wanted
the KSB2 for some digital mode work.)
