Thanks for the reply Wayne!
I like most of what I've read (haven't dived really
deep into it). After some housecleaning (read sell-off
of non used junk), I anticipate buying a K3 this Fall,
with several options.
Still cheaper, with filters and options, than anything
else on the market with similar specs...
I enjoyed building all my K2 stuff, and to some degree
will miss the board stuffing and such. On the other
hand, after building the relatively simple micro908
antenna analyzer (with larger SM devices), I don't
have the time to do a full blown SM kit. I have to
think this would be an 80+ hour job. Fun if you have
the time and space to do the work undisturbed, but no
so if you don't...
The semi-kit form sounds like we can still have some
hands on, yet attract folks who aren't "real" kit
builders AND maybe they will say "Hey! This is fun!"
and want to do a K1 or K2 in the future.
All in all, win/win IMHO... I spread the news to the
TCG (some of whom are still chomping at the bit for
Elecraft Amps).
Thanks for listening! (Even without the analog meter
hihi)
