Could someone explain, what "Dual Receive" is
supposed to offer the K3? Can I transmit on 1 band, and simultaneously RECEIVE on a different frequency? Can I listen to 20m SSB and low 20m CW at the same time? With 1 antenna? What does the K3 say, that we can do with this DUAL RECEIVE capability? Fred, N3CSY ____________________________________________________________________________________ Need a vacation? Monitor two bands simultaneously with some top-notch digital mode software.
Great for watching 10m and 6m when otherwise a tad dead. The K3 is not designed for duplex, which would require incredible RX shielding. > Can I listen to 20m SSB and low 20m CW > at the same time? Yes. > With 1 antenna? Yes, and also with two antennas, one for each receiver, your choice. > What does the K3 say, that we can do with this DUAL RECEIVE > capability? Receive on two different frequencies at once, with one in each ear of the headphones, or mixed. The two frequencies can be on different bands and different modes. 73, Ed - W0YK _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Certainly not at 100 W. As Ed implied, it would require complete physical separation of the two receivers, greatly increasing cost, weight, and size of the rig. 73, Wayne N6KR --- http://www.elecraft.com _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
