It kind of does.
Upon detection of a KAT2 (in K2 enclosure), and KPA100/KAT100
(in EC2 enclosure), the firmware will switch the KAT2 in through
mode (CALP), antenna port 1. Any tuning / antenna port selection will
only drive the KAT100.
Switch off the K2, disconnect, and your KAT2 will function as it
used to.
There's several minor glitches, though:
- The 2nd port of the KAT2 is no longer accessible.
It would be nice to switch between ANT1 (KPA100/KAT100),
ANT2 (KPA100/KAT100), and ANT3 (KAT2, port 2), so that the latter
can be used for a transverter
- Under some circumstances, the KAT2 remains stuck in CALP mode
when the KAT100/KPA100 is disconnected.
It is easy to set it back to AUTO mode, you just have to remember.
