Hi Richard,

The only mic that can be plugged directly into the KX3 is our MH3, which has a special 4-conductor barrel plug. There's no way to power a DTMF-capable mic through the KX3's mic jack, so if you need such a mic, you'd need to power it externally and make an adapter to go to the KX3.

We could add DTMF capability to the KX3 itself, using its numeric keypad. However, we'd have to support '*', '#', and 'A' through 'F' using other unlabeled keys on the radio. We'll add this to the wish-list.
