Martin, I know you want to resolve any possible problem before January, but
I notice we are both going to be at the campout
(http://www.wa3wsj.com/MOC2007.html) in NW NJ. I will be bringing a
Hewlett-Packard HP-8563A spectrum analyzer like the one here:
http://www.ae5x.com/kx1.html and some other stuff as well, if any of the
attendees are interested. We can make plots of our rigs, measure MDS, etc.

In the meantime, I'd resist making any "corrections" to your KX1 based on
the methods you are using to test it  ;-)

73 and see you in January,

Hi, John.

Thanks for the offer - yes, it will be good to compare the spectral
purity of the KX1 against your own or Eds KX1 and some of the other
radios there.  I saw your analyzer output on your web page - I'd kill
to have that tool at the moment :)

Anyway:  I'll probably just go ahead and use the radio as it is for
now, maybe see if my 1st harmonic can be heard across town by another
amateur or something like that, in the meantime.

I'll go back and respread the windings so that it looks as close to
the picture in the manual as possible also :)

73
Martin.
