Thanks for the quick replies!

The image is not saved when the P3 "Capture Image" button is pressed.

After complete, the user must perform "File -> Save As" to save the captured
image. Default directory is "My Pictures".

Is it also made available on the clipboard? If not, count this as a feature request (don't you love those?).

"When the image has been completely transferred to the PC, the image may be
saved to a bitmap file using the File - Save As menu item.

The image is saved in an uncompressed 480 x 272 pixel 256-color bitmap
(.BMP) format. The file is 131,638 bytes.

The bitmap is also placed onto the Windows Clipboard, and may be pasted into
various image editors (e.g., the Windows Paint Accessory program). These
programs may be used to save the image in other formats such as PNG, which
is a compressed format that does not reduce the image quality."
