        If you want RX IN/OUT, you need a KXV3.  It's wrong to think of it only as a Transverter option.  Think of it as an RX ANT - IF OUT - Transverter option.

You can connect the subreceiver to a rx ant via the aux RF jack, without having the KXV3 option.
