All in good time. Some things can't be rushed. Most things shouldn't be
rushed. I would rather wait and have it be the best. There is a lot of competition in some of these products and "we" don't want to be an "also ran". How do you pick your market slot? Inexpensive? Most features? Or somewhere in between? Can you create an amp that will satisy everybody? I don't think so. I would figure an Elecraft SS amp would be microprocessor controlled. OK, now we have input frequency display?, automatic band detection and changing, built in automatic tuning, LOTS of memories, full metering, SWR, Power, band, antenna selection. Built in automatically selected dummy load during antenna tuning. AND all for that for $999. I think amps are like wives - they are all different and you are not likely to get one that has or does everything on your list. But, maybe Wayne can add it. 73, de Jim KG0KP >Gee, I wonder why Wayne doesn't seem to have time to finish up some >projects like the Linear Amps :-) > >Bill - K6WLM ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Miner" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Sunday, June 14, 2009 11:04 PM Subject: Re: [Elecraft] SSB to CW automatic VFO offset >You guys are amazing. And remote operation so the amp doesn't have to be in the shack like an Acom
2000A. Saves on heat and space in the shack.
