operators?
I sort of like my CW drawl and probably won't
change much in the next
few years. But are many of you changing to
keyboards?>
I use CT and TRLog in contests and it's easy to slow
down to the speed of the calling station - just a few
quick keystrokes, log the QSO and back to F1 - CQ
Contest while returning to the original speed.
Contesters need the QSOs - it's quicker to slow
down than have to repeat the exchange.
Also I think it's good manners, and might encourage
another operator to stay in the contest for a while -
it's those casual operators that make it possible for
serious contesters to enjoy their own 'lunatic fringe'
branch of ham radio.<G>
Elecraft have produced superb CW contest radios -
the K2 receiver is the best that I have ever used.
