Olli,
Over the last 45+ years, most of my "Base" stations have been below 20W.
My Antennae have always been ground-mounted verticals or loaded dipoles under 20ft high..

A Base station is what you define it to be... no more, no less!

My current base station is a KX3.

Quite a step up from my original HW7 and even my FT-817ND  <Grin>
