Re: Using a PC headset with K3, connections

I have used several computer type mics on the back input as long as they are a 1/8 mono plug and the bias is turned on for the electret types.  They have all worked fine for me but to get them to sound better setting up the mic equalization in the Main Menu is needed.  I am using an AntLion at present that attaches to any earphone.  I am using it on a Bose QC15.

Hi Greg , I see the Headsetbuddy uses the identical mounting fixture that the Ant Lion Mod Mic uses.  I am not sure if the mic is the same but they both may be buying the units from BY and reselling them.  Here is the link for the Mod Mic from Ant Lion.  http://www.modmic.com/  After setting up the equalization mic menu I am very happy with it.  I have it set up for pile ups.HI.  73 Mike K4PI

Mike,

have you tried the Headsetbuddy option?  I just ordered one yesterday for the QC15.  I have not heard of the AntLion.

Tnx
Greg

Greg, I spoke too soon.. I see that the Headset Buddy has one option like the Ant Lion for any headset with the magnet, but I now see they have one specifically for the QC15 with the mic and headphone cord all in one. I really like that as I had to lace the mic cord to the headset cord which works okay but the one Headset Buddy has is more elegant for sure.  I may have to think about it.  It looks really neat and I like using the QC15.  73 Mike K4PI
