Hi,
I could not agree more!!!
I follow the development of the K3 with great interest and eagerly would
like to read some comments on its performance before I decide to get one.
As a keen contester I worked with a FT2000 in the IARU world championship,
40m CW, too many buttons, settings and my K2 receiver is so much better.
The last CQWW contest I used my K2 on 40m (SSB) in a multi-multi station
(OT5A).
During the preaparation I received a lot of comments on my choice of
transceiver like: what are you going to use? a K2? That litlle box? We are
all used to the FT1000/2000. and more of that stuff.
After a short demonstration they ALL agreed that the K2 has a superb, quiet
receiver and excellent filters.
This was confirmed by all the operators after the CQWW contest.
Performance wise this rig competes with top class transceivers.
So I just wait to see an rig comparison with the K3.
