Jim:
The exact same thing happened to me about six or eight months ago, long before 4.51. LCD, P3 all showed VFO B up a certain amount. I recycled the radio and everything was OK. It has not happened since so the anomaly is extremely intermittent; for me a one time event. You are not alone! 73, Dan -- N3ND Message: 29 Date: Sat, 28 Jul 2012 10:34:40 -0500 From: Jim Sheldon<[hidden email]> Subject: [Elecraft] Weird happening this morning To: Elecraft Mailing List<[hidden email]> Message-ID: <2012728103440.559905@home-5700c25bca> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" While trying to work CY9M (I got 'em) I had the K3 set up for split, split was showing in the window, had VFO B set to about 3 KHz UP where they were listening. The P3's cursor stayed purple (including the one on the SVGA display) and I got yelled at for transmitting on the DX station's frequency. First time I've ever had the K3 display "SPLIT" on the LCD and not actually be in that mode. Anyone else have this happen? Either before or since 4.51? *OK, this is what happened to me.
The split issue is not unique to the SVGA board it seems, as it happened to me once in the last couple of days and I had been playing with DATA modes and I too got a caning for calling on the DX frequency..oops! It is noted that using M(1-4) for CQ in repeat mode, the actuation of
P3SVGA keyboard does not cancel the repeat function. The cq text does not show on SVGA also, but no big deal there. I'm around 14.013.60 at the moment. A tap of the key/paddle obviously does. Could this be implemented in the next firmware Paul? Thanks also.
