I did a bunch of looking around and these seemed to be the best I could
find with a good price and reasonable shipping. I am sure if you order in bulk from them they would adjust the price accordingly. http://www.pchcables.com/hogmrian2mas.html http://www.pchcables.com/3foan2stmato.html On 3/4/2012 8:50 AM, Wayne Burdick wrote: > I've been saving up all the links to cables posted on the KX3 Yahoo > group. > > W > > On Mar 4, 2012, at 8:39 AM, Eric Swartz WA6HHQ - Elecraft wrote: > >> Greg, Can you give me the p/n's and source for your right angle >> cables! I recall a writeup (maybe in QST) about using poor choice of wire inside the angle connector having effect on signal or lost of signal. The gist of it was, you get what you paid .... 72 Ron, wb1hga "arachnoleptic: the frantic dance performed just after you accidentally walked into a spider web" ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Yes, junk cables and junk connectors are everywhere, including almost
all of the vendors who sell to hams and advertise in QST. Note also that the two links here are for ADAPTERS between 2.5mm and 3.5mm connectors. The connector used in the K3 and on nearly all mics and headphones is a 3.5 mm (1/8-in, approximately) jack/plug. The smaller 2.5mm connector is typically used for remote controls, and on some VHF/UHF talkies for either mic or headphones. The good connector manufacturers are Switchcraft, Neutrik, and Amphenol. Switchcraft and Neutrik audio connectors can be purchased online from very good vendors like Full Compass, which is where I buy them. Part numbers are in my RFI tutorial and also in the Ham Interfacing pdf, both at http://audiosystemsgroup.com/publish.htm You will have to use a soldering iron. 73, Jim K9YC On 3/4/2012 10:04 AM, ron wrote: > On 03/04/2012 12:14 PM, Greg wrote: >> I did a bunch of looking around and these seemed to be the best I could >> find with a good price and reasonable shipping.
