Re: Re-assembly

Don Wilhelm-4
Mike,
You will need all 4-40 x 3/16 pan head screws for the bottom cover and
bottom of the front panel (longer ones can bottom out).  I recall the
proper number is 8, so look on the floor for the lost screw.
Find out where you used a 3/16 inch pan head where a 1/4 inch should
have been.  Most of the screws on the rear panel are 1/4 inch long.
There should be no flat-head screws on the bottom or the rear of the
K3.  You will need flat-head screws for the top cover if that is not
already in place.

Good luck finding those little critters, they can be elusive on and
under the workbench.

73,
Don W3FPR

Re: Re-assembly

Mike Reublin
Thanks, Don.
I had put pan-heads in the crossbrace. I still dunno where the long
pan-head came from, but Elecraft had very thoughtfully supplied a bit of
extra hardware, so she's all zipped up again, the new firmware is
loaded, and we're on the air! Life is good.
